Make Xbox Online Games Run Smoothly by UPnP¶
UPnP¶
UPnP is a network protocol that allows devices to automatically discover, configure and communicate within a local area network (LAN) without the need for users to manually set port forwarding or network parameters.
When the router's UPnP function is enabled, if the software on a user's computer also supports the UPnP protocol, the router will automatically open the corresponding virtual server ports based on the software's requests.
For example, when you connect your Xbox to the router which has connected to the internet to play online games, UPnP will send request to the router to open the corresponding ports allowing the following data penetrating the NAT to transmit. Therefore, you can play Xbox online games without a hitch.

Once enabled, you simply need to run a UPnP-supported application on a UPnP-capable terminal within the local area network (LAN) to utilize the router's UPnP function.
